P2P Logistics support local charity for Christmas

Newcastle-under-Lyme based logistics company, Place to Place Logistics (P2P), have helped to spread a little Christmas joy for local families who may be struggling this year.

Working with the local Alice Charity, P2P has donated a large selection of children’s toys and adult’s toiletry products to support families in crisis throughout the Newcastle and Stoke area.

Alice Charity is a local organisation who offer support to families who are struggling. This can be a friendly cup of tea when things seem tough or providing food to fill an otherwise empty fridge. Their range of services are essential to many in the community.

This year has been especially challenging, for so many people, as the Covid-19 pandemic has seen many across the country face uncertainty over employment and experience money worries.

With Christmas approaching, P2P, a Pall-Ex shareholder member, wanted to help the charity and those in their community.

The team at the logistics company have gone above and beyond to collect a range of toys for children and toiletry sets for the adults who need support.

Sales Manager at P2P, Natasha Lucyk, explains why the business decided to support Alice Charity and the response she saw from staff there. She comments: “We are big supporters of local businesses, sports teams and charities within our community.

“This has never been more important than in 2020, as we have faced an unprecedented year, and everyone has seen there situation change in some way.

“Christmas usually sees us send our customers Christmas gifts, such as chocolates and wine, but with many now working from home or not allowing visitors, we have decided to use those funds to support a local charity.”

She continues; “All of our staff and customers have been really supportive of the initiative and have recognised the importance of what we are doing.

"As a result of this P2P have decided to continue our support of Alice Charity throughout the year, next year, with other fundraising activities and donations.”

The items donated to Alice Charity will make such a difference to those in need, ensuring Children have presents to open on Christmas Day.

Emily Petts, Family Support Director at Alice Charity knows how important donations such as P2P’s are to families in the Newcastle and Stoke area.

Speaking about their donation, she said; “Everyone at Alice Charity is extremely grateful for the generosity of P2P Logistics and the team their hard work.

“The toys, selection boxes and toiletries they have donated will go to families who have struggled this year which will hopefully make Christmas a little brighter.

"We are proud to be able to support our local community and it is down to the hard work and kindness of people such as Natasha and the team at P2P.”
