Night Operations Manager - Fortec

Location:  Fortec, Units 2-3, Watling Park, Station Rd, Watford, Northampton NN6 7XY

Working hours:  Monday to Friday 8pm-5am

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Night Operations Manager to join our friendly team. 

 

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure Daily planning service and cost requirements are met

  • Ensure Fortec and South-central Hub results are achieved daily in line with agreed targets

  • Ensure Legality and Compliance within the depot and vehicles

  • Effective management of teams and agreed targets and KPI’s

  • Support customer development and retention in line with agreed targets

  • Training matrix and action plans are developed and achieved in line with set targets (transport, warehousing and H&S)

  • Support network team in new business and successful integration of these customers in line with agreed SLA’s

  • Recruitment in all areas is met in line with budgetary requirements with a focus on removal of agency associated costs

  • Achieve KPI’s through management team by coaching, mentoring, and developing to achieve and exceed.

  • Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Monitor the night operations and report any issues to the Head of Hub Operations

 

What we need from you

  • Extensive previous experience in a similar role within the logistics sector

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record in driving operational improvements and achieving cost savings

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically

  • Ability to work well independently and part of a team

  • Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office
