Position: Transport Planner
Contract Type: Permanent - 40 hours per week
Location: Pall-Ex House, Victoria Road, Ellistown, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 1FH
Working hours: Monday to Friday – Start time 14.00-22.30 (40 hours per week)

Role duties include:
Ensure daily planning service and cost requirements are met
Plan all general haulage routes efficiently using KPIs
Ensure all drivers are contacted/monitored daily
Monitor using inhouse tracking systems and technology
Ensure all drivers hold the relevant entitlement for the vehicles they are driving
Ensure all drivers remain legally compliant and driving hours are monitored
Work with the operations manager to deliver a first class service
Liaise with existing and find new general haulage customers
Build a large general customer base
Achieve set revenue targets monitored by KPIs
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Transport Planner role
Knowledge of driver working time directives
Confident telephone manner and verbal written communication skills
Strong organisational and communication skills
Integrity and professional attitude
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Confidence to problem solve
Excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
