Through the Pall-Ex Group Charitable Foundation, we have a dedicated platform created to support charitable initiatives and make a positive impact in local communities. The foundation is overseen by the Pall-Ex Group Board of Directors and trustees and offers a unique platform where Pall-Ex Group staff and network members can request donations for causes close to their hearts. We are proud sponsors of a number of sports teams, community groups and individuals local to us and our members.
Here is a roundup of how the teams we sponsor have been getting on over the last few months:
Lancing FC
Along with our shareholder member South Link, we are currently a commercial partner and the official away kit sponsor of Lancing FC, a football team based in West Sussex. The team are currently sitting 4th in the Isthmian League – South East Division, having won 11 games since December. With seven games left to play, the team is still sitting in the play-off places so hopes for promotion to the Premier Division are still strong for the club.
FC Monday
Alongside Lancing FC, Pall-Ex Group also sponsor FC Monday, a football club local to the Central Hub. The FC Monday First team currently plays in Division One of the Alliance Football League and sit top of the table, having won their last five games and holding the best form in the league. The FC Monday Reserves team play in Division Three of the Alliance League and currently sit in 5th place after 14 matches.
FC Monday’s next home fixture is on the 31st of March against Midland Rangers FC.
Baili Black
Through our shareholder member, Blacks Transport, we have recently began sponsoring Baili Black, a junior motocross racer currently racing in both the British Bridgestone MX Championship and the Scottish Championship.
With the 2024 season being his first year racing in the British Bridgestone MX Championship, Baili will be taking part in six races at venues across the country, with the first one over the weekend of the 6th of April at Oakhanger. Baili has already been competing successfully for the last few years, finishing 6th in the small wheel 85cc championship in the 2023 Scottish Motocross Championship Finale and becoming the Club Champion for the GMCC 65cc SW in 2022.
Ibstock Town Cricket Club
Another local community group we sponsor is Ibstock Town Cricket Club, who currently run six junior teams, two mens teams, a growing girls and ladies section and an under fives’s division. They are a key social hub in the community and our sponsorship for this upcoming season has gone towards starting an under 12’s girls team, alongside supporting the juniors with their playing and training kits to ensure that cricket is accessible for everyone.
A special mention to our long standing sponsorship, seperate from the Pall-Ex Group Charitable foundation, Toro Verde who we have been a sponsor for since 2021 and have seen the progress over the years, finishing 11th overall in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in 2023 and securing 4th and 9th place finishes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge. The team currently compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup, British GT Championship and the Porsche Sprint Challenge.
After a successful start to the 2024 season following wins in the 24H series at Kuwait and Dubai in January, Toro Verde GT came away with the GTX Class Championship title in the three-round Middle East Trophy. With the Porsche Carrera Cup season beginning in April and drivers Jack Butel and Daniel Lloyd on board, it’s shaping up to be a successful season for Toro Verde GT.
