Position: Business Development Manager
Contract Type: Permanent - 40 hours per week
Location: Pall-Ex Logistics Limited - Covering Dorset and Devon & Cornwall
Working hours : Monday to Friday – variable hours

About the role:
Duties include:
To work independently with the membership to build new, sustainable, and profitably pallet volumes
To obtain leads and set up meetings with suitable clients
Actively and successfully manage the sales process
Acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for networks are captured and explored
Be accountable for all customer proposals, SLA's, contracts, and any further documentation
Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
Maintain and update the company's CRM system
Report weekly sales activity to National Sales Manager
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Business Development Manager role
Knowledge of the Logistics sector preferably pallet networks
Strong communicator, able to actively listen and understand customer feedback
Genuine care and ability for problem solving
Integrity, professionalism and honesty
Proactive and positive
Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
