Position: Business Development Manager

Contract Type: Permanent - 40 hours per week

Location: Pall-Ex Logistics Limited - Covering Dorset and Devon & Cornwall

Working hours : Monday to Friday – variable hours

About the role:

Duties include:

• To work independently with the membership to build new, sustainable, and profitably pallet volumes

• To obtain leads and set up meetings with suitable clients

• Actively and successfully manage the sales process

• Acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for networks are captured and explored

• Be accountable for all customer proposals, SLA's, contracts, and any further documentation

• Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner

• Maintain and update the company's CRM system

• Report weekly sales activity to National Sales Manager

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Business Development Manager role

• Knowledge of the Logistics sector preferably pallet networks

• Strong communicator, able to actively listen and understand customer feedback

• Genuine care and ability for problem solving

• Integrity, professionalism and honesty

• Proactive and positive

• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
