How to Label Your Pallet
Correct labelling is the most important step in connecting your goods with their destination.
The label contains all the necessary information for us to undertake your delivery, and the barcode is scanned at every stage of the delivery, updating your tracking link to keep you updated.

Pallet Labelling Top Tips
Before getting started, check your goods are securely stacked and wrapped and that the information on the label is correct.
The label should state:
-
Delivery address and recipient
-
Consignment number
-
Number of pallets in the consignment (each pallet needs its own label)
-
Weight
-
Service level
-
Surcharges
-

1. Choose a suitable surface
Labels do not adhere well to some surfaces, including wood, brick and steel. If your labels are not sticking, we recommend that you staple them to the pallet base or crate.
2. Keep your labels clean and dry
Ideally, you should place your labels at least 30cm from the ground so they don’t become wet or damaged during delivery. Using weatherproof labels will also help to maintain the condition of your labels throughout the delivery process.
3. Attach labels to the front and back of your pallet
Pallets are loaded and unloaded several times during the delivery process, so affixing two labels on opposite ends of your goods helps ensure a more efficient process.
4. Do not fold your labels
Place your label on a flat surface, making sure not to fold them around corners. They need to be as flat as possible, so avoid affixing them to any irregular surface.
5. Make sure your labels are visible
Your labels need to be visible to warehouse staff and drivers, as well as our barcode scanners, so do not place these on the top of your freight or apply shrink wrap over them.
