Pall-Ex hosting ‘Bake Off’ event in aid of Macmillan

The Pall-Ex hub in Ellistown, Leicestershire, is to host its very own Great British Bake Off to raise money for Macmillan and celebrate the logistics industry’s vital part in getting Britain baking.


As the nights draw in and the popular baking competition dominates our Tuesday evenings, Britain gets out the flour, sugar and butter in a home baking trend which has exploded in recent years and has resumed its place as a beloved pastime across the country.


The Great Pall-Ex Bake Off will take place on the morning of September 7th, where the staff’s showstoppers will be judged by Bake Off: The Professionals contestant Marta Child, who runs the popular Bom Bom Patisserie in Loughborough.


Assisting Marta is our own resident foodie, Hub Co-ordinator, Toby Iliffe.


The bakers will be competing for a fabulous prize of a dinner party cooked and served by Masterchef contestant Holly Bilous-Jones in their home, alongside a £100 John Lewis voucher.


The runner-up will win a fabulous £50 John Lewis voucher.


The showstoppers will then be part of a delicious bake sale in aid of Macmillan cancer support.
