Pall-Ex Group Celebrates 64% Increase in International Pallet Volumes in 2022

The award-winning palletised freight distribution network– Pall-Ex Group, is celebrating a 64% increase in pallet volumes for its UK cross-border team in 2022.

The announcement follows the highest-ever recorded pallet volume for the international side of the business in November 2022, both through the Pall-Ex and Fortec membership and the team’s own customer base.

This growth is attributed to strong relationships with international partners, particularly line-haul routes through Benelux, as well as a fully integrated customs solution that provides seamless export clearance within minutes.

“We are thrilled to see such a significant increase in our international freight volumes,” said Sue Buchanan, International Director of Pall-Ex Group. “This success is a testament to our dedicated team and the strong relationships we have forged with our partners. We are committed to continuing to drive excellence in all areas of our business, whilst supporting our customers’ international growth.

"As a business, we have worked hard to ensure that international freight shipping from Manchester to Madrid, Birmingham to Berlin or Peterborough to Prague can be as easy as Leicester to London.”

Pall-Ex Group’s International service operates in over 30 different countries and offers a comprehensive range of integrated services, including extensive pallet sizes and weights for the whole of Europe, as well as integrated pan-European IT solutions and online proof of delivery.

Additionally, in April 2022, Janine Catley was appointed as International Development & Customer Services General Manager. Specialising in Key Account Management within the logistics & supply chain industry, Janine’s role has played a key part in enabling the highest levels of efficiency and visibility for customers internationally.

At the heart of the company's pan-European network sits its international freight system - built within Nexus. Their enhanced global freight offering supports the customer's business as it continues to grow; so that they can securely and efficiently transport their goods to every corner of the world at a cost-effective rate.

The company’s vision is to become the leading global palletised freight distribution network, by working with like-minded partners across their local territories. “We believe that the balance between our know-how and our master licensees’ local expertise has enabled us to succeed in Europe and to continue the execution of our vision,” said Buchanan. “We pride ourselves on enabling local transport logistics businesses to compete with large global players by working together, under the Pall-Ex brand.”
