Pall-Ex and Atom Logistics charity initiative raises over £25,000

A charity initiative from two logistics giants is supporting the next generation of students in numerous schools, globally, thanks to a £25,101.50 donation.

The No.1 pallet network for quality, Pall-Ex and delivery specialists Atom Logistics teamed up to raise money for One School, which includes all institutes operated by the Plymouth Brethren Church, and its Rapid Relief Team charity, which supports local communities in times of crisis.

Atom Logistics is a department of the Universal Business Team (UBT), a network of businesses, owned and operated by members of the Plymouth Brethren, whose higher purpose is to support its schools and charities.

The money raised is the result of a 2019 rebate generated by UBT companies sending their pallets through the Pall-Ex network.

As the two firms are continuing the charity drive in 2020, with the aim of raising an additional £30,000, Pall-Ex is calling on its network members to support the cause.

Mark Steel, Commercial Director at Pall-Ex, comments:

“We are delighted to be in partnership with Atom Logistics and supporting these brilliant causes. Our shared ethos of putting quality at the forefront of our operations enables us to support each other with improving and growing our services."

“We’re proud of the impressive amount we have raised together in 2019 and are encouraging our entire network of SMEs to become a part of this successful partnership in 2020.”

Sophie Morris, Atom Logistics Department Manager, comments:

“Atom Logistics and Pall-Ex have partnered together to provide a quality palletised freight solution to support, not only businesses but also charitable organisations.

“Both UBT, through Atom Logistics, and Pall-Ex are working together to fulfil the fifth UBT strategic pillar of ‘Greater Good’ through supporting our education and charity work, and we are looking forward to building on this partnership in the year ahead.”
