Cleanux Chemicals grows volume with LHT Logistics and Pall-Ex

UK-based manufacturer and distributor, Cleanux Chemicals, relies heavily on dependable pallet distribution to serve its customers with specialist cleaning, hygiene and maintenance products.

Since becoming a customer of Pall-Ex shareholder member, LHT Logistics, the business has benefited from a wide range of logistics solutions, with shipment volumes steadily increasing as LHT Logistics has expanded its offering through the network.

Cleanux Chemicals supplies products to a wide range of customers, including wholesale distributors, cash and carry operators, buying consortiums and private label partners throughout the UK.

Challenges and objectives

Prior to working with LHT Logistics, the business faced challenges with communication and delivery reliability. Obtaining timely updates was difficult, and inconsistent service levels were creating additional administrative work and putting customer relationships at risk during periods of growth.

Through Pall-Ex’s freight tracking software, Nexus, customers now receive a two-hour delivery window, enhanced freight visibility and online proof of delivery for every consignment.

This visibility has transformed the way Cleanux Chemicals communicates with customers. Time is no longer wasted chasing updates and information is available to customers at every point of the delivery journey, making the process more straightforward and reliable.

The accuracy of information provided to customers, coupled with more logistics services and a wider range of pallet dimensions has been instrumental in growing volume and improving customer satisfaction levels on behalf Cleanux Chemicals.

To address inconsistent service levels, all distribution requirements were eventually moved over to LHT Logistics. The convenience of having the depot nearby in Waltham Abbey, a strong relationship with the customer service team and a user-friendly platform displaying all tracking information has made the delivery process robust, efficient and reliable.
