CHARITY AND
ARMED FORCES
We are proud to support communities and groups across the UK through our penny-a-pallet scheme and charitable foundation, particularly the work we do with Armed Forces charities to support service personnel and veterans.
The Pall-Ex Group
Charitable Foundation
Funded by our penny-a-pallet scheme, the Pall-Ex Group Charitable Foundation exists to support the communities in which we operate, providing funding for various initiatives throughout the UK.
Each submission is put forward to our board of trustees each month for approval.
To celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2026, the Pall-Ex Group Charitable Foundation committed to donating a total of £30,000 to 30 different causes across the UK, all nominated by our staff and network members.

The Penny-a-Pallet Scheme
We created the penny-a-pallet scheme to raise money for charity through our everyday operations. This means that every pallet that goes through one of our hubs is directly contributing to charitable initiatives and good causes, so you know when you send a pallet through Pall-Ex, you are helping to support charities throughout the UK.

ARMED FORCES SUPPORT
Our ultimate ambition is to be the employer of choice for those leaving the military. We first signed the Armed Forces Covenant in July 2019, pledging to provide support and employment opportunities to those in the armed forces community.
In 2022, we went on to be recognised with the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, highlighting our forces-friendly policies and support of Armed Forces charities. We commemorated this achievement with a livery design in 2022.
The Gold Award represents the highest badge of honour, demonstrating that Pall-Ex is committed to supporting those who serve and their families, as well as helping veterans find new and rewarding careers outside of the Armed Forces.

In 2024, we partnered with SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity, and raised over £33,000 through our 2025 London Marathon places. We repeated this effort in 2026 and raised a further £27,500 for the charity.

We have been a long-time supporter of veterans’ mental health charity, Combat Stress, being awarded the Corporate Fundraising Group of the Year award in 2022 in recognition of the £35,000 raised in 2021.

Through our partnership with Veterans into Logistics, we have helped put three veterans through HGV training, supporting their career development after their service.
We revealed a special-edition vehicle livery in 2025 to honour our status as a Veterans into Logistics Gold Patron.
