Prohibited and Restricted Items for Palletised Freight
Our simple step-by-step guide explains how to wrap your freight, so it is safe and secure for delivery.
Are There Any Items Restricted for Delivery Through the Pall-Ex Network?
We’re proud to be able to transport a large variety of items swiftly, safely and securely through our network, however, certain products are restricted or prohibited. Dangerous goods (ADR goods) are not permitted for transportation through the Pall-Ex network but may be eligible for delivery through an ADR certified logistics provider.

Restricted Items

Hazardous Goods
Dangerous goods (also known as ADR goods) are highly regulated for transportation on roads in the UK and Europe. These must be correctly classified, packaged, labelled, and documented, and carried by a certified ADR haulier.

Alcohol
Alcohol can be shipped through a pallet network, but there are restrictions and limitations in place. The exact volume, size and strength of the alcohol must be correctly declared for all consignments containing alcohol.

Tobacco
There are regulations in place for shipping tobacco products in Europe. Tobacco products need to be verified with the customs office of each country they enter, so it is important to keep an exact inventory of your items when transporting tobacco.
