 Quality Assurance Operative

Working within our operations team, you’ll be a key part of the core Pall-Ex central hub


Location: Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 1FH

Reporting to: Hub Managers and Management Team

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent 

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hrs per week

Key Activities   

  • Auditing inbound and outbound trailers
  • Use CCTV systems to investigate damages
  • Controlling the day shift quality assurance and raising standards
  • Working within the QA area to rework freight to ensure presentable

Key Deliverables and how you capture value   

  • Investigation on Hub liability
  • Reduction of claims received
  • UNID freight management


Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure any damaged consignments are reworked to make suitable for onwards delivery
  • Use CCTV systems to review damaged freight and ascertain liability
  • Keep check on stock levels for the QA department (equipment and tools)
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of UNID freight and ensure these are then turned around within a suitable period (1-2 days)
  • Identify opportunities to improve process and implement in consultation with Operations Manager
