Group Infrastructure & Systems Analyst
Location: Pall-Ex House, Victoria Road, Ellistown, Leicestershire, LE67 1FH
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Infrastructure & Systems Analyst to join our friendly team. The role is extremely hands on and requires the individual to be meticulous in what they do. It also involves educating users inside and outside of the IT department.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Pall-Ex infrastructure and systems are proactively monitored using the relevant software/service
- Ensuring that problems are rectified quickly and efficiently so that the business can operate effectively.
- Ensuring that problems are investigated thoroughly, and information is communicated with the relevant personnel in the IT team
- Where problems cannot be rectified, full analysis is conducted and suggestions to progress highlighted
- Providing third and fourth line support and supporting the IT helpdesk
- Disseminating relevant knowledge to the IT support desk so that issues can be dealt with quickly and efficiently
- Highlighting areas of weakness within the infrastructure and systems, proposing ways to mitigate this
- Infrastructure setup, configuration and continual monitoring at any Company site & in the Cloud
- Ensuring that department process and procedures are followed
- Ensuring that Pall-Ex IT security is carefully considered and monitored using a suite of tools and that the business is adhering to GDPR and any other relevant legislation
Strengths, Skills and Competencies
- 5 years IT experience (in a logistics setting would be highly desirable)
- SQL Server Queries & Management
- Windows Server W2K8 Upwards
- Active Directory Design & Management
- VMware / Hyper V
- LAN / WAN Topologies
- Microsoft 365
- Router, Firewall & VPN Administration
- Backup Administration and IT Hardware
- Highly organised and an excellent communicator
- Ability to use their own initiative/team player
- Ability to design and follow IT processes
