We are looking for an experienced Sales professional, with proven experience in the Transport/Logistics/Distribution sector, to join the team at Cranleigh as a Business Development Manager


Location: Cranleigh Distribution Services, Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, GU6 8TB
Working hours: 8.00am - 17.00pm, Monday - Friday

  • Identifying new business opportunities 
  • Generating leads and setting up suitable client meetings
  • Actively manage all aspects of the sales process
  • Be accountable for all customer proposals, SLA's and contracts
  • Report weekly sales activities to the line manager

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Research, obtain leads and set up meetings with suitable clients
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process
  • Acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for both networks are captured and explored
  • Be accountable for all customer proposals, SLA's, contracts, and any further documentation
  • Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update the Company's CRM system
  • Report weekly sales activity to Commercial Director
  • Efficiently track all new pallet volumes
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
  • Liaise with the Finance Team and Operational departments as appropriate
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
