Pall-Ex has been informed that the closure of the A511 Shaw Lane between the Flying Horse and Stardust roundabouts will proceed on Monday 17th September for five weeks.
Pall-Ex is disappointed with the lack of consultation by Leicestershire County Council, as the closure presents a number of issues, including safety, cost and business disruption. For a five-week period commencing on the 17th September, the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the day and then completely closed between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
The closure and diversion issued by Leicestershire County Council is outlined below and will affect all traffic accessing Pall-Ex's central hub from the M1.
Trunks should be planned to minimise, where possible, disruption to your inbound scheduled arrival but we appreciate there will be a significant impact on your business. Please ensure the Pall-Ex operations team are kept up to date via 01530 239000 of any significant issues experienced on a daily basis.
Please note: The works will be affecting all traffic arriving from the M1 motorway.
Our local community
Pall-Ex would like to thank the local community for its continued understanding following six weeks of road diversions close to its Ellistown base, as it braces itself for more disruption and road closures.
The company is now faced with a second bout of disturbance as Leicestershire County Council has announced the overnight closure of part of the A511 between the Flying Horse and Stardust roundabouts – the area’s main route to the M1.
We would like to thank you for your continued support during this challenging time. We will be updating our social media channels throughout this time. Please like and follow to keep up to date.
