– a revolutionary waste recycling initiative
Pall-Ex is pioneering a new environmentally-friendly service that will remove thousands of tonnes of recyclable waste from customers and diverted from landfill. Pall-Ex have partnered with waste recycle specialists The Greenhouse to provide this cost-effective take-back service, that will see Pall-Ex collecting cardboard and plastic wrapping materials from customers when making deliveries or collections.
Through applying backhaul methodology Pall-Ex aims to provide a national take-back service for handling frequent small-medium waste collections of cardboard and LDPE plastic.
This new service is currently being trialed by four of Pall-Ex's members. These are Pall-Ex Nottingham, J Longs & Sons Limited based in Leeds, Mini Clipper Logistics Limited in Leighton Buzzard and CJ Express Limited in Hull.
"By collecting packaging materials, we will be solving a number of issues for our customers and will have a positive impact on their environmental policies."
Nick Carter, managing director of CJ Express Limited
